Indian manufacturer Lava launched the Agni 5G way back in November 2021. Well, its successor is almost here, and we’re now being treated to an exclusive early look at the device’s hardware specifications, courtesy of our tipster Paras Guglani.
The Agni 2 5G could also potentially have a ‘Pro’ version in the works, though we cannot confirm this at the moment. It will be positioned as a mid-range flagship, taking on the long list of 5G phones currently available in the market.

Lava Agni 2 5G specifications
Lava’s upcoming smartphone will feature a 6.5-inch HD+ screen with a 90Hz refresh rate. This would be complemented by the MediaTek Dimensity 1080 octa-core SoC, 8GB of RAM, 128GB of storage (expandable via microSD), a USB Type-C port, and a 5,000mAh battery backed by 44W fast charging support.

Triple rear cameras are also being cited, with the primary camera reportedly being a 50-megapixel unit, with the change of OIS being included. However, we are not certain if this will be included. Furthermore, other details that we know of courtesy of our leaker is that Lava Agni 2 5G will have a 16-megapixel selfie camera, while the fingerprint scanner will be mounted on the side of the device.
Lava Agni 2 5G launch date and expected pricing
It is rumoured that Lava will unveil its latest 5G mid-ranger by mid-March or April this year, so we won’t have to wait long to learn more about the device. While there’s currently no information on the pricing of the Agni 2 5G or its Pro sibling, we expect it to cost between Rs 20,000 and Rs 25,000, based on the current crop of Dimensity 1080 phones in the industry.
