Netflix releases of February 2023: You S4, Vadh, Class, Community Squad, Love to Hate You and more

In recent developments, Netflix has unveiled two new Indian original series for February – Class and Romantics. Class is a Hindi adaptation of the Spanish show Elite and follows three scholarship students from middle-class backgrounds attending an elite school. The trio become embroiled in a murder investigation and is exposed to the harsh reality of wealth and privilege. All eight episodes are available for streaming now. 

Meanwhile, Romantics is a four-part documentary tribute to late Bollywood director and producer Yash Raj Chopra, featuring interviews with actors who collaborated with him. It will be available on February 14. On the other hand, Sanjay Mishra-starred film ‘Masaan’ has been added to Netflix’s collection this month, following its critical success in late last year. The movie revolves around a retired school teacher who becomes involved in the murder of a loan shark. With his son studying abroad, he must erase all evidence linking his family to the crime and make it a perfect murder. 



Romantic comedies to watch out for 

Get ready for a love-filled February on Netflix! This month’s lineup is packed with a collection of romance movies and series to make your heart skip a beat. Up first is the iconic film ‘No Strings Attached,’ starring Ashton Kutcher and Natalie Portman. It’s the story of two people trying to keep it strictly physical, but as feelings start to blossom, they realize they want something more. On February 10th, the South Korean series ‘Love to Hate You’ takes the idea of enemies-turned-lovers to a whole new level with a dash of comedy thrown in. An attorney who hates losing to men and an actor who distrusts women are forced to date each other and the sparks are bound to fly! All 10 episodes will be ready to stream on Netflix on release day. And on the same day, it’s time for ‘Your Place or Mine’! Longtime friends and total opposites Debbie (played by Reese Witherspoon) and Peter (played by Kutcher) swap houses for a week and find love where they least expect it. Get ready for a month of love and romance on Netflix!

Action movies 

February brings a dynamic lineup of content to Netflix, including a noteworthy entry from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. The film, Spider-Man: No Way Home (Extended Version), features Tom Holland as Peter Parker as he navigates, balancing his normal life and crimefighting, following his exposure by Mysterio (played by Jake Gyllenhaal). This edition, labelled as the ‘Extended Version,’ contains 11 minutes of additional footage, including a noteworthy appearance by Charlie Cox as Matt Murdock, along with other supplementary scenes.

Additionally, Netflix will also release a new Arabic-language original series on February 8th, entitled ‘The Exchange.’ The series follows two women as they challenge the male-dominated atmosphere of the Kuwait Stock Exchange in the 1980s. The six-part series is inspired by real events and provides a unique perspective on a historically significant moment. This month, Netflix offers a diverse range of content, including a blend of action and historical drama.

True stories take the centre stage

The month of February on Netflix presents a collection of compelling content, including a dramatization of the true story of Jessica Watson, the young Australian sailor who successfully circumnavigated the world at the age of 16. The series, entitled “True Spirit,” will be available for streaming on February 8th. Also premiering on the same day is the documentary series “Bill Russell: Legend,” which offers a comprehensive examination of the storied career of professional basketball player Bill Russell through interviews, archived footage, and contemporary insights from other professionals in the sport.

Comedian Jim Jefferies will also bring his latest stand-up special, “High ‘n Dry,” to Netflix on February 14th, where he reflects on a range of topics including his father’s vasectomy and encounters with stoned koalas. On February 24th, the film “We Have a Ghost” will become available, featuring David Harbour in the role of a ghost who gains widespread notoriety through social media, leading to increased scrutiny from a mysterious government agency. To conclude the month, Netflix will be adding five “Mission: Impossible” movies to its catalogue.
