POCO X5 Pro 5G has been launched in India. It has arrived as the successor to the POCO X4 Pro 5G, which came equipped with the Snapdragon 695 last year. The new model has arrived with several upgrades, such as an improved AMOLED panel, a Snapdragon 7-series chipset, and the latest version of MIUI 14. The X5 Pro is the first-ever POCO phone to feature a 108-megapixel camera.
The company also launched the POCO X5 5G alongside the Pro model. While the Pro edition is heading to the Indian market, the vanilla model is only available in the global market.

The POCO X5 Pro 5G is expected to arrive in two variants, 8GB RAM + 128GB storage and 8GB RAM + 256GB storage. It comes in three colours: Astral Black, Horizon Blue, and Poco Yellow.

POCO X5 Pro 5G first sale date
The POCO X5 Pro 5G’s first sale will take place on February 13th, 2023. It will be sold exclusively through Flipkart. Using a credit card to make a full payment will bring a discount of Rs 2,000. Buyers using credit / debit card EMI to purchase it will allow buyers to get Rs 2,000 discount. The company is also offering an additional discount of Rs 2,000 on exchange offer.

The device comes preinstalled with the Android 12 OS, which is overlaid with Android 14. The company has confirmed that the device will receive two years of Android OS upgrades and three years of security updates.
The Snapdragon 778G chipset is at the helm of the POCO X5 Pro 5G. The device offers up to 8GB of LPDDR4x RAM and up to 256GB of UFS 2.2 storage. It packs a 5,000mAh battery with 67W fast charging support. The X5 Pro offers other features like Gorilla Glass 5 protection for the display, a 12-layer graphite sheet heat dissipation unit, dual SIM support, 5G, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.1, an IR blaster, an X-axis linear motor, a USB Type-C port, dual stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos support, and a 3.5mm audio jack.
