Foldable smartphones are becoming mainstream right now. There are plenty of smartphones available in the market, and almost every brand is working on a foldable of their own. Recently we witnessed the live images of the upcoming Tecno Phantom V Fold, the first foldable from the Chinese smartphone manufacturer. Now the real-world footage of the device has surfaced online.
The leaked video reveals the design of the upcoming device, including its foldable display. According to rumours, the smartphone will make its global debut on February 28. Here’s everything you need to know about the Tecno Phantom V Fold.

The video was leaked by popular leakster Sudhanshu Ambhore. It reveals that the Tecno Phantom V Fold shares an identical folding mechanism with the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4. The smartphone shown in the video features a huge circular camera module at the centre, which houses the triple-camera setup with an LED flash. It is shown in the cream colour variant, which looks quite premium.
Furthermore, the video reveals that the foldable display will have a hole-punch cutout at the top centre of the right side. The outer display also features a centrally aligned hole-punch camera cutout.
The crease, which seems to be an unavoidable characteristic of foldable displays, is evident in the video. Apart from that, the volume and power controls are located on the right edge. We can see small perforations at the top edge, which could be for the auxiliary speaker. The primary speaker and the USB Type-C port are most likely located on the bottom edge.
The Tecno Phantom V Fold is said to draw power from the MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chipset, which we recently saw in the Tecno Phantom X2 series. It is expected to be paired with 12GB of RAM and up to 512GB of internal storage. The device is expected to be the most affordable folding smartphone.
Unfortunately, we don’t have much information about the forthcoming Tecno Phantom V Fold. But we expect to get more details as we inch closer to the launch.
