Jio Studio, the OTT platform owned by Reliance Industries Limited, on Wednesday, April 12, 2023, announced a lineup of exciting new releases across various Indian languages. The announcement was made at an event hosted by the platform, which was attended by several renowned personalities from the Indian film industry. Besides this, the team took to social media and said, “Fasten your seat belts! Jio Studios: Slate Announcement
The media and content arm of Reliance Industries Limited, released upcoming slate of over 100 movies and web-series set to release in India. Officials shared a long list of shows and web-series which will stream on the platform.Various forms of content have been planned as a part of the larger objective thereby showcasing stories from India culturally representing Bharat in multiple languages, including Hindi, Marathi, Bengali, Gujarati, South, and Bhojpuri.
Sharing more details, Jyoti Deshpande, President – RIL Media and Content Business, said the studio’s mission is to champion the creative excellence of incredible storytellers and offer an eventful slate of films to audiences. She added that the future holds infinite possibilities, and this occasion marks a new chapter in the studio’s journey to give wings to the greatest stories ever told.
Upcoming Hindi Movies on Jio Studios
One of the important projects unveiled at the event was Dunki, featuring Shah Rukh Khan. Besides this, sequels to Bhediya and Stree, and collaborations with renowned filmmakers such as Raj Kumar Hirani, Sooraj Barjatya, and Ali Abbas Zafar were also shared.
Among the upcoming movies, besides Dunki, are Bloody Daddy featuring Shahid Kapoor, and Bhediya 2 with Varun Dhawan, R Madhavan-led Hisaab Barabar, Blackout with Vikrant Massey and Mouni Roy, Taapsee Pannu and Arvind Swamy’s Empire, and Vijay Sethupathi’s Hindi movie, Mumbaikar.

Jio Studios also announced its web originals, including Laal Batti, a political thriller helmed by Prakash Jha, and Inspector Avinash, featuring Randeep Hooda. Additionally, the studio has built a mini-Originals slate showcasing slice-of-life content, including Ishq Next Door featuring Abhay Mahajan and Natasha Bharadwaj, Do Gubbare with Mohan Agashe and Siddharth Shaw, and Hajamat with Sanjay Mishra and Anshumaan Pushkar.

The Marathi slate includes Baipan Bhari Deva, featuring the veteran actor Rohini Hattangadi, Khashaba with Nagraj Manjule, and Aga Aai Aho Aai with Renuka Shahane and Hruta Durgule, among others.
Upcoming Bengali Movies on Jio Studios
Jio Studios is also focusing on the Bengali market by entering into a multi-year, multi-film collaboration with SVF Entertainment. The upcoming films in this partnership will feature top talent such as Mithun Chakraborty, Prosenjit Chatterjee, and Jisshu Sengupta, among others.
Upcoming Gujarati Movies on Jio Studios
The studio is also backing Gujarati cinema and will present an interesting line-up, including Bachubhai with veteran actor Siddharth Randeria and Ghulam Chor with popular actor Malhar Thakkar.
